Webinar: Exposomics Research in Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Watch Now

Why Has Genomics Not Solved Most Chronic Diseases?

Why hasn’t genomics solved most chronic diseases? In this episode of ChatGJP, Panome Bio CSO Gary J. Patti explains why genomics has provided valuable insights into health and disease, but cannot capture every factor that influences an individual’s health.

While genomics has been applied at enormous population scales, other omics technologies, including proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and exposomics, have not yet reached the same level of population-wide application. Expanding these measurements across large and diverse populations could provide additional context for understanding differences in health and disease.

The episode explores why integrating multiple layers of biological and environmental information may be an important step toward a more comprehensive approach to precision medicine and precision health.
